A commercial vehicle in the early hours of Thursday, May 25, 2023, collided with an Accra-bound train from Tema at Alajo in the nation’s capital.
According to eyewitness accounts, the taxicab driver narrowly escaped death making a swift attempt to cross the train’s tracks while it was approaching at a high speed.
The taxi driver whose vehicle got trapped on the rail tracks was smashed and subsequently pushed off by the approaching train.
The collision resulted in minor damage to the train but left the driver’s side of the taxi badly mangled.
However, none of the passengers on board sustained any injuries.
