ECG apologises over power outages in parts of Eastern region

“The Electricity Company of Ghana, wishes to inform the general public, especially our cherished customers, that the outage being experienced is as a result of a technical challenge emanating from GRIDCo.”

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has expressed regret over power outages in parts of the Eastern Region.

“ECG regrets the inconvinience caused to our affected customers” The power distributor said in a statement sighted by Elvisanokyenews.com on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

ECG explained that the power cuts in parts of the region were as a result of a technical challenge emanating from GRIDCo.

Areas affected by the recent power cut were: Koforidua Township, Okorase, Osabene, Mile 50, Akim Tafo township, Bunso, Osiem, Hemang, Begoro, Asesewa, Kibi, Asiakwa, Apedwa, Suhum township, Teacher Mante, Amanase, Akote, Amanhyia, Nankesi Towns, and nearby communities.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana, wishes to inform the general public, especially our cherished customers, that the outage being experienced is as a result of a technical challenge emanating from GRIDCo.” The statement read.

According to them, power will be restored to the affected areas as soon as the problem has been rectified.

Power Outage

ECG wishes to assure affected customers that immediately the technical challenge is rectified, power supply will be restored.
