ETI emerge the most traded equity on GSE

ETI recorded the highest trade by volume as it accounted for 75.29% of overall trade volume. Volume of shares traded of the stock at the end of trading session was 12,189.

Ecobank  Transnational Inc. (ETI) on Wednesday led equities on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) in total volume of shares traded.

ETI recorded the highest trade by volume as it accounted for 75.29% of overall trade volume. Volume of shares traded of the stock at the end of trading session was 12,189.

In terms of value traded, NewGold (GLD) emerged the equity with the most traded value accounting for 45.63% of the total value  traded.

Following ETI in terms of high value and volume traded were MTN, GOIL, RBGH and CAL with volume and value traded of 1,578 and GHS 1,388.64; 1,010 and GHS 1,717.40; 559 and GHS 335.40; 384 and GHS 303.36 respectively

The local bourse recorded no price movement as market  capitalization for the day settled at GH¢64.82 billion.

The Ghana Stock Exchange’s Composite Index (GSE-CI) did not  record any change to close trading at 2,463.27 points representing a  YTD return of -11.69%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also  maintained its value to close trading at 2,076.84 points, translating  into a YTD return of -3.49%.
