Funny Face remanded after accident

The Ofaakor Circuit Court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region has remanded comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, also known as Funny Face, in police custody for two weeks.

The comedian was remanded after appearing in court on charges of drunk driving and careless driving.

Funny Face was arrested on Sunday evening after he rammed his vehicle into a group of people at Kasoa Kakraba injuring five in the process.

Funny Face was involved in a car accident at Kasoa, Kakraba Junction last Sunday after he rammed his vehicle into a group of people at Kasoa Kakraba injuring five in the process.

The actor did not sustain any injuries but was reported to have knocked down three pedestrians and two motorbikes.

The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, particularly regarding what caused Funny Face to collide with the pedestrians – a mother and her two children.

Eyewitnesses, however, suggest that alcohol may have been a factor, alleging that the comedian was driving under the influence.
