Honourable John Osei Frimpong, the current Member of Parliament (MP) for the New Abirem Constituency in the Eastern Region, says he will remain and maintain his relevance in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and to his constituents as long as he lives.
The MP who is seeking re-elections made this statement in an exclusive interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh
John Osei Frimpong who was the former special assistant to Mr. Osafo Maafo during the Era of Ex President Kufour noted that as a Member of Parliament representing the people of the New Abirem Constituency over the last three years, the Constituency has seen a positive change in it’s developmental needs being infrastructure, human resource development, job creation among others.
“My office has in less than four years touched and changed the life’s of the Constituents ranging from road networks, classroom with administration blocks, CHPS compounds, teachers bangalows, police stations and post, toilet facilities, and drilling of boreholes. This projects have been delivered and are in use across the fouty-three communities making the New Abirem Constituency, more will be done if the nod is given to me which I know without any dough, because I am winning this primaries” he noted.
He indicated that for the first time in the history of his Constituency, twenty six communities including “Kote Ye Aboa, hwa Ye Mmobo, and Etwe3 Nim Nyansa” has been added to the national grid under the Rural Electrification Project. He said the Constituency under his watch has also received its fair share of the national cake stating that the Nkawkaw through New Abirem to Akyem Oda and some other town roads have been awarded to contract awaiting contractors to report on site.
The Member of Parliament says he has spent close to Ghc177,000.00 on scholarships to secondary and tertiary students across the Constituency asides government’s scholarships to the needy but brilliant student, with his excellent lobbing skills he has been able to help several graduate and nongraduates unemployed youth to gain employment in the various sectors of the economy.
Osei Frimpong who claims not to campaign on the achievement of the Akufo-Addo led government’s central projects but on his delivered projects revealed that he is about to construct a health center for the people of pankese the third largest populated community in the area which is his priority. The project if completed is expected to improve health care delivery of the people in the Constituency.
We gathered that the seating Member of Parliament John Osei Frimpong is likely to battle this year’s primaries with one Frank Mireku and Engineer Kwadwo Afirifa on April 25 Parliamentary Primaries of the New Patriotic Party in the New Abirem Constituency.
