If you make me a driver, I won’t go on honeymoon – Bawumia
“I have listed over 30 achievements, let’s ask somebody (Mahama) what policies he implemented for the developments of Ghana. If you vote for Mahama, he will take Ghana backwards so make me president to drive the car and move Ghana forward.
The Vice President and the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bawumia has promised to deliver to the expectation of Ghanaians if elected as the president.
He said unlike his opponent, former president John Dramani Mahama who is seeking for some period of time to go on honeymoon before he can solve the problems in the country, he will not go on honeymoon.
Speaking during an engagement with Traders Associations and Magazine Leaders in Sunyani, the capital town of the Bono Region on Tuesday, March 3, 2024, Dr. Bawumia stated that as a vice president his track records are more than the former president.
“Ghanacard as a travel document for travel into Ghana, Ghana Post Digital Property Address System, Ghana Card number at birth for newborns, Zipline Drones, all these things were done as a vice president, driver’s mate has done these work, I am not even the driver, I want you to give me the steer to drive the car to our destination.” Dr. Bawumia emphasized.
He also challenged former president John Dramani Mahama to list his achievements when he was the president.
Adding that the NDC flagbearer has only a 4 year term as a president so he will not deliver to the expectation of Ghanaian people.

Mahama can not go to election again when he become a president so he will not mind you, if you vote for him he will go on honeymoon so he will not think about you but for me I know when you vote for me I will go to another election so I will work hard, I won’t go on honeymoon, form day one I will work so give me the steer” He stated.
Dr Bawumia emphasized that as a Vice President, almost all the promises that he made have been delivered on.
