Minority returns to Chamber to take their seats for Akufo-Addo’s final SONA

Information indicates frantic efforts were made by the Ministers of Finance and the Administrator of the DACF to have the demands of the Caucus fulfilled to have members take up their seats.

The Minority Caucus has returned to the Chamber of Parliament for the Message on the State of the Nation (SONA) to be delivered by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The side had threatened to boycott the presentation until all arrears of their District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) has been paid.

As at 10am when the President’s presentation was to begin none of the members of the Minority side had taken their seat.

Information indicates frantic efforts were made by the Ministers of Finance and the Administrator of the DACF to have the demands of the Caucus fulfilled to have members take up their seats.
