NPP Flabeareership race: Peter Amewu says Alan is “impeccable”

He stated that the fact that the NDC has failed to produce any derogatory evidence against Mr Kyerematen should be sufficient grounds for the party delegates to endorse him.

The Minister of Railways Development, John Peter Amewu has rallied delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) behind flagbearer aspirant, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen.

According to him, Alan has an impeccable reputation which can never be destroyed by the propaganda from the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking during a campaign event at the UPSA Conference Hall in Madina, Accra, on July 5, 2023, Mr Amewu who is also the Hohoe MP urged the delegates to unite behind Alan Kyerematen to protect the party from unwarranted personal attacks on their presidential candidate by the NDC (National Democratic Congress).

The campaign event brought together NPP (New Patriotic Party) delegates from Adenta, Madina, and Shai Osu Doku, offering them a platform to engage in constructive discussions with Mr Kyerematen, who is one of the frontrunners in the NPP flagbearer race.

The delegates had the opportunity to learn about Mr Kyerematen’s plans for the party and the nation as a whole.

Mr Amewu encouraged the NPP delegates to endorse Alan Kyerematen’s candidacy, emphasizing the importance of countering the forthcoming NDC propaganda that could potentially affect the party’s chances in the 2024 elections. He stated that the fact that the NDC has failed to produce any derogatory evidence against Mr Kyerematen should be sufficient grounds for the party delegates to endorse him.

Furthermore, he called on the party machinery to look beyond the internal primaries and focus on the broader picture as they strive to secure a victory in the 2024 elections and break the eight-year cycle.
