Paramount Chief of Nsein describes NPP’s 4more4Nana Slogan a Disaster

Explaining the ordeal he passed through, the Chief recounted that, he once plied the road with travellers for 3 days and due to its bad nature one person was pronounced dead in the process.

Paramount Chief of Nsein Traditional Area, which is believed to be the oldest Chieftancy throne in the Western Region of Ghana, Nana Awulae Agyefi Kwame, has disclosed that the Four more for Nana Slogan that was trumpeted by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) fanatics prior to the 2020 general elections has been a disaster for the people of the region especially when it comes to infrastructural developments.

He said, the much touted Slogan #4more4Nana# has not fulfilled its purpose as the government has failed woefully to end the suffering of Ghanaians leaving the Western Region to be underdeveloped. He said it is clear now that the incumbent NPP does not care about the people in the Region.

He further said, the region which is the mother of agriculture activities in the country is rather wallowing in developmental challenges despite all the resources that abound in the region.

He emphasized that the Agona Nkwata to Elubo and Tarkwa Highway which serves as the international stretch of road is now a death trap and very difficult for drivers to ply, hence commuters had to spend three days on the road before reaching their various destinations.

Explaining the ordeal he passed through, the Chief recounted that, he once plied the road with travellers for 3 days and due to its bad nature one person was pronounced dead in the process.

He said, several appeals were made to the government to construct the road but all efforts have proved futile.

He said the Akufo-Addo led government has not fulfilled the promises made to them after his people voted massively for the NPP government.

Nana Awulae Agyefi Kwame made this comments during a press briefing on the state of Western Region roads at his village farm at Nsein.

He appealed to traditional authorities in the region to pile pressure on the government because President Akufo-Addo cannot just take the region which produced the country’s first president for granted

He said the Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah should get to work and develop the region, stating that reading speeches upon speeches without finding pragmatic measures to solve problems in the region is inimical to the progress of the area

“We the chiefs and the people are tired of promises upon promises without action. Since the government took over from the NDC we have not witnessed any significant changes in our lives,” he stated.
