Speaker Bagbin supports Rent Arrears of NDC GA with Ghc 100K

The Regional NDC office owed a rent of US$ 38,000, being debt inherited from the previous executives.

Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has made a big intervention by releasing an amount of Gh¢100,000 as his contribution to support the clearing of part of the office rent arrears of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region.

The Regional NDC office owed a rent of US$ 38,000, being debt inherited from the previous executives.

The rent issue was among the list of issues laid before the Speaker by the current regional executives when they recently paid a courtesy call on him at his office in parliament.

Upon hearing the issue, the Rt. Hon. Speaker made an instant pledge to offer his support to help defray the debts.

Following that pledge, the Speaker, on Monday January 16, presented the cheque of Gh¢100,000 to the Regional Executives to help address the issue.

The Regional Chairman, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, on behalf of his team thanked Speaker Bagbin for honouring his words. They promised to use the money for the intended purpose.

The chairman further reiterated his commitment to ensure that the NDC in the region remains united to wrestle power from the incompetent New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According him, the region is focused on recapturing more parliamentary seats and maximising the Presidential votes in the 2024 general elections and nothing will stop them from achieving that goal.
