13th African Games: Ghana’s Abeiku Jackson wins bronze in Men’s 100m Butterfly

The race, which was initially scheduled to happen on Monday, March 11, 2024, was postponed due to a false start

Swimmer, Abeiku Jackson has won Ghana’s 5th medal at the African Games, claiming bronze in the Men’s 100m Butterfly.

It’s also Abeiku’s second medal at the Games after he won silver in the Men’s 50m Butterfly.

The race, which was initially scheduled to happen on Monday, March 11, 2024, was postponed due to a false start

Jackson finished with a time of 53.80s behind South Africa’s Jarden Eaton and Egypt’s Abdalla Nasr, who claimed the gold medal.

The 23-year-old will be looking forward to securing more medals in the 13th African Games with a keen eye on further success at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
