Failed Akufo-Addo does not Deserve such Award – Albert Aheto tells Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
I have massive respect for His Majesty OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II for his leadership skills, among other things.
However on the issue of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II giving “Good Leadership, National Cohesion and Political Stability Award” to Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, I respectfully disagree.
Below are my reasons for the DISAGREEMENT;
- Nana Addo’s government within this year had Judgment debt close to a total of one billion Ghana Cedis due to mismanagement and this certainly cannot be a good Leader.

A security officer was brutalized at the Flagstaff House – the Seat of Government and till date nothing has been said about it. The Ayawaso West Wuogon Violence by the Azugu boys is still fresh on our minds, For the first time in the history of the Fourth Republic more than Seven Ghanaians died; the death of Ahmed Suale is still fresh on our minds and several insecurities under Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo as Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) certainly cannot make him a good Leader.
- Talking about Free SHS, Nana Addo rather failed largely because President Mahama who actually started the Free SHS with “DAY STUDENTS” made it abundantly clear that we do not have infrastructure and that we need to put in place adequate infrastructure so that the Free Education can be extended to the Boarding Students. Nana Addo quickly promised to build three hundred and fifty Senior High schools from scratch within eighteen months. Nana Addo is now in his fifth (5th) Year and out of the 350 SHS he promised to build not even one is ready for use hence innocent Ghanaians were subjected to ‘traffic light” schooling, how can this be an achievement?
- Nana Addo does not have any record in infrastructure development, he promised God a Cathedral but has failed.
Respectfully, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, may be you are not aware of the facts I raised above.
I am therefore pleading with Your Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to reverse the Award since Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is the worse President Ghana has ever had and cannot be described as a good Leader, not to talk of an Award in such capacity.
Respectfully Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo does not deserve that award.
