Young Medical Doctor donates to Orphans and Widows

A medical doctor at the Upper East Regional Hospital, Bolgatanga, Dr. Jerry Adjei Nmai has donated items worth GH¢6,000 to the Mama Laadi Children’s Home and a section of widows at the Assemblies of God, Yikene branch in Bolgatanga.
This he did to mark his birthday on Friday, November 24, 2023.
The Medical Doctor observed that he wanted to have a meaningful celebration and throwing parties for family and friends was not an ideal way to do so, hence he resorted to give back to the less privileged in the society.
According to him, he started the initiative in 2020 where he donated some basic items to some orphanage homes in Tamale.
He stated that since it was a big project and he would need help, he shared the vision with some friends and relatives who jumped unto the idea and since then they have been doing this unfailingly.
“I shared the vision with few friends and relatives and they supported. Some gave money, others gave clothes and so we donated food items, toiletries, baby foods, clothes and others” he stated.
This year’s donation was in two phases. The first phase was the donation made to the orphanage home on Friday, while the second was at the Assemblies of God, Yikene branch on Sunday, November 26.
The items included food items, clothes, toiletries and sanitary, and a cash amount.
This, Dr. Nmai thought was more fulfilling to him than a thousand parties organized in the most beautiful city for friends and families.
“I encourage people to give out donations to orphanages especially the Mama Laadi Children’s home, they really need help,” he pleaded.
