Use Eid to Pray for Manhyia South, Asanteman and Ghana – Napo Muslim Constituents

The Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) for the Manhyia-South constituency, in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Matthew Opoku-Prempeh, has called on the Muslim community in Ghana, to use this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr to pray for the good of the country.

Dr. Opoku-Prempeh also stressed the need for peace and tranquillity, particularly, in the Manhyia-South and Asanteman at large during the Ramadan festivities.

“Just as we do always, let us go on our knees after the 30 days of fasting and pray for our area, region and the nation,’’ he said.
In a message to the Manhyia South Muslims at the end of their month-long fasting, Dr. Prempeh noted: ‘’Muslims in the area has been supportive in the development agenda, and must be commended.’’

The Muslim Community around the world embarked on a thirty-day fasting (Ramadan), and will be ending the holy exercise today.

The Manhyia South MP, with strong ties to the Muslim Community, has been consistent in sending them felicitations at the commencement and ending of the seasons.

“We strive to maintain and if possible, strengthen the cordiality, peace, unity and harmony among us, as one people”; he stressed.

Dr. Opoku-Prempeh said that the development and transformation of Manhyia South, Asanteman and Ghana, should continue to remain the focus of the Muslim Community.

‘’We have only one Manhyia South, one Asanteman and one Ghana; so we must all come together as one and help in building it for posterity.

The MP, who is also the Minister of Energy, indicated that the surest way to achieve development and transformation, is to co-exist peacefully; adding, ‘’as the MP for Manhyia South, I am always happy to see us as one people, irrespective of our religious background.’’

“I wish to congratulate you for embarking on a successful Ramadan and, may Allah continue to protect and bless you all,’’ he said.
