Couple burnt to death at Tepa

They left behind seven children with the youngest being one and half years old.

A husband and his wife have been burnt to death at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North District of the Ashanti Region.

They have been identified as Kwabena Tabi 45 and Pinamang 40 years.

According to information gathered, the couple were on a motor bike going to market on February 15.

Gallons of petrol being carried by a taxicab on its roof fell off onto the road while the vehicle was climbing a speed rump at Betiako.

The petrol spilled onto the road and immediately ignited and trapped the couple, who had also reached the scene on the motor bike.

They sustained severe injuries and were sent to the Tepa Government Hospital

Due to the extent of injuries, they were referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but died Sunday February 18.

They left behind seven children with the youngest being one and half years old.

The driver of the taxi is in police custody assisting in investigations.
