Electoral Commission Releases Schedule for 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections
Preceding the registration exercise will be 56 days of public education from Monday, April 1, 2024, to Sunday, May 26, 2024, aimed at ensuring widespread awareness and participation.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana has released a comprehensive program of activities for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
According to the schedule obtained exclusively by newsalertgh.com, the EC will accept nominations for presidential and parliamentary candidates from Monday, September 9, 2024, to Friday, September 13, 2024.
Following this, the EC will conduct the ballot for positions on the presidential ballot paper on Monday, September 23, 2024, with the parliamentary ballot set for September 24, 2024.
In addition, the EC aims to declare the results of the 2024 presidential polls within three days of the voting exercise, provided there are no unforeseen disruptions.
The electoral process will kick off with a voters’ registration exercise running from Tuesday, May 7, 2024, to Monday, May 27, 2024.
