GRA Boss Accused of Enjoying Lavish Benefits and Involvement in Dubious Deal

As outrage grows over these revelations, the demand for transparency and accountability in the government’s actions intensifies. Ghanaians are urging authorities to thoroughly investigate the GRA Boss’s alleged involvement in the dubious deal and ensure that justice is served.

In a shocking revelation, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Boss, Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah, has come under scrutiny for reportedly enjoying a range of extravagant benefits while being involved in a controversial deal. The GRA Boss, despite being 60 years old and eligible for retirement, has been allegedly receiving these perks for the past two years.

Sources indicate that Rev. Owusu-Amoah ranks as the second-highest paid government appointee, only after the Bank of Ghana governor. In 2023, his monthly salary was reported to be a staggering GHS 137,794.80. Moreover, it has been uncovered that he receives a housing allowance of GHS 6000 and a home enhancement allowance of GHS 2000.

Adding to the list, Rev. Owusu-Amoah also reportedly enjoys a travel per diem of $1500, a clothing allowance of GHS 10,000, and enjoys free medical care for both his spouse and children. In addition, he is subject to a yearly mandatory medical examination and receives a GHS 2000 allowance for the yearly replacement of lenses.

What’s more, he reportedly receives an inconvenience allowance of GHS 500 per day, a responsibility allowance of GHS 1500 per month, and a monthly entertainment allowance of GHS 1500. It has also been discovered that Rev. Owusu-Amoah benefits from a DSTV Premium Service subscription worth GHS 700, an official vehicle with monthly fuel coupons, a private car, and a car loan.

Continuing the list of benefits, sources state that Rev. Owusu-Amoah receives a vehicle maintenance allowance of GHS 1000 per month. Furthermore, he has been assigned three personal security guards for his safety, and his salary increases by 20% annually.

Ironically, the GRA Boss has also been implicated in a dubious deal referred to as the GHC 100 million SML deal. This revelation has sparked outrage amongst citizens who are becoming increasingly concerned over the alleged mismanagement and corruption within the Akufo-Addo government.

Critics argue that the GRA Boss’s continued enjoyment of such extravagant benefits, despite being of retirement age, paints a grim picture of the state of affairs in Ghana. The country is facing significant economic challenges, and citizens are questioning the justification for these excessive privileges while essential services suffer.

As outrage grows over these revelations, the demand for transparency and accountability in the government’s actions intensifies. Ghanaians are urging authorities to thoroughly investigate the GRA Boss’s alleged involvement in the dubious deal and ensure that justice is served.

Ghana, a nation known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant democracy, now finds itself grappling with allegations of corruption and impropriety at the highest levels. The future of Rev. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah’s position and the broader implications of this scandal remain uncertain as Ghanaians wait for answers and demand change.
