Ledzokuku Residents Issue 5-Month Ultimatum to MP: Deliver Promised Polyclinic or Face Demonstrations

“We demand accountability and effective representation. Our MP not only cannot advocate for his constituents but also spends minimal time in the constituency,”

The Concerned Residents of Ledzokuku Association have issued a firm ultimatum to their Member of Parliament (MP), Benjamin Nartey Ayiku, in their quest for accountability and progress.

According to the residents, the MP must fulfil his promise of delivering a polyclinic within five months, or risk facing a series of actions.

At a press conference organized by the concerned citizens on Monday, February 19, 2024, they expressed their frustrations over the neglect of their constituency and the perceived inaction of their MP.

Samuel Laryea, the convener, underscored the crucial contribution of former MP Dr. Okoe Boye in advancing community projects through his lobbying efforts.

“We demand accountability and effective representation. Our MP not only cannot advocate for his constituents but also spends minimal time in the constituency,” Laryea stated.

The aggrieved residents urged the MP to awaken from his complacency and spearhead development projects within the constituency.

Furthermore, they emphasized the urgency of addressing the pressing healthcare needs of the constituency and fulfilling promises made.

The residents have pledged to take decisive action if the promised polyclinic fails to materialize within the stipulated five-month timeframe.
